Cone Flowers In Winter

Winter on Eighty Acres and the once bright pink, purple and red coneflowers have gone to seed. Frequently visited by bees, butterflies, and finches in the summer, the skeleton like flowers now provide a sharp contrast to the winter snow. The cone flower seeds are now sleeping and will return once the Earth Mother warms the soil with gentle rains and sunshine.
