Snow Moon Over Eighty Acres

Writer: Bruce SieboldBruce Siebold

Due to the heavy snowfalls in February, Northern Native American tribes often refer to the full moon as the "snow moon". And because the heavy February snows make it difficult to hunt and find food, it is also called the "hunger moon".

Today on my early morning trek the snow moon lights the path before me. I walk on moonlight. Thankful for the quiet moments and remembering all those who walked on the snow moon's light before me.
