At the end of your journey when accountants have completed the tally of all your debits and credits, what story will the balance sheet reveal? Most likely there will be the usual reports of bank accounts, home values, personal possessions, credit cards and loan statements. A compendium of all your stuff neatly summarized in an official looking document. But maybe we need to change the scorecard a bit. Why not include a line or two about the value of one's journey that speaks about your friendships, your acts of kindness, how often you were able to forgive, and no doubt, the number of sunsets you took the time to see?
