Such A Bargain!

The largest butterflies in North America, the Giant Swallowtails, with their 5-6 inch wing spans, are frequent visitors to Eighty Acres flower gardens. In the late afternoon this Swallowtail put on a hour long performance for me as it floated, fluttered and flashed its colorful wings atop each cone flower. The Swallowtail's movements seemed effortless as it danced and dipped its huge wings, while inspecting each flower in the garden. As it departed I thanked the Earth Mother for her gift, and realized my admission price to this show was simply my time, patience and mindfulness. I'm hoping for an encore performance tomorrow. Such a bargain!
