No doubt the deer heard and saw me walking the Eighty Acres trails long before I spotted her. Except for a twitch of her ears, she lay motionless, alert, carefully watching my every move and intent. As our eyes met, I carefully raised my camera and snapped this photo. I slowly moved away, thankful for the chance encounter.
