Coming To An End

She appears each august on Eighty Acres with deep black dome shaped eyes and yellow fingers. I invite her into my home and place her colorful bouquets on my kitchen table. As I pass by, dark eyes follow me and gently remind me that her arrival signals summer is coming to an end.
