If I Were A Painter

If I were a painter, I would paint my life the colors of dahlias. Each day I would begin with a blank canvas and paint with only big, bold brush strokes. I would choose bright colors. Reds, yellows, blues, oranges and greens. There would be passion in my brush and you would see my dreams, hear my laughter, feel my joy. There would be surprise, excitement, mindfulness and awe in each new day. And nestled into each day's painting would be a silent prayer to the Earth Mother thanking her for giving me one more beautiful day to paint my very own unique life's picture.
